About
Third base. I want the ball hit at me with the game on the line, and I have been the guy they put there since my sophomore spring. Last season I hit .361 with 24 RBI and made four errors all year across 28 games.
Football taught me to play through a long season and baseball taught me to slow down. They are different jobs. On the line I am reacting in under a second; at third I have time to think, and the mistake is thinking too long. Learning to trust the read instead of re-checking it is the biggest jump I have made.
I am a two-sport athlete and I intend to stay one as long as a program will let me. If a coach needs me to pick, I will have that conversation honestly rather than pretend it is not a question.
