#72Defensive Line

About
I play the defensive line, and the job is simple: make the offense uncomfortable on every single snap. I have started on varsity since my sophomore year. This season I finished with 11 sacks and 47 tackles, 15 of them for loss, and was named All-Conference.
The number I am actually proudest of is none of those. It is film. I spend most of Sunday breaking down formations, and by Friday I usually know what is coming before the ball moves. At 6'2" and 235 I am not going to win every rep on size alone, so knowing the play is the edge. That is the part of my game I most want to keep building in college.
Off the field I carry a 3.8 GPA, I am in the National Honor Society, and I coach at the Lincoln youth football camp every summer. I am looking for a program where I can contribute early and study mechanical engineering.
